![]() Peculiar Mix of Familiar GamesĮpic Games reveals that Battle Breakers is a free-to-play frenetic RPG inspired by Saturday morning cartoons of the 80s. ![]() You can unleash massive attacks and special abilities to take down the bosses and even smash through legions of monsters. And with enemies being at par with your heroes, you can expect epic battles to ensue. If the game gives a wide selection of heroes, it also has big bosses that you need to beat. With this, you can collect an arsenal of powerful heroes ready to save the world with you. To make it more exciting for you, you will have hundreds of heroes to choose from, including knights, ninjas, robots-even dinosaurs. In all of these, you have the power to build a team of heroes that you want. Moreover, there are also three modes which you can play, namely the Battle Pass, Skybreaker Quests, and the Hero Store. At time of review, I only need to clear the game two more times on the highest difficulty to finish all the achievements (which I plan to do) and I'd probably need to clear it a couple more times than that if I wanted to max all the upgrades (which I probably won't do).The game comes with more than 1,000 dungeons that you can explore, and these dungeons span across volcanoes, forests, glaciers, and more. I really hope they update the game with more content, although getting 8-10 hours of gameplay for this price isn't bad at all. The title screen even has space for another ranger or two. There are also only four rangers, which is a strange number to have, since most ranger teams are three or five. No complaints about the weapon selection, but there are only two stages and two bosses. For this genre, Rift Rangers is pretty content light, so if you don't care about the theme, there are plenty of other games in this style with more content on offer. ![]() That said, I'm surprised this isn't in early access. If you like this style of game and you like the tokusatsu/power ranger theme, I highly recommend it. ![]() ![]() I really love the gameplay loop and there aren't enough Sentai/Power Ranger themed games on the market. You need to move around the map capturing points and your attacks all come from little towers you build. Rift Rangers plays like a vampire survivors like, but with elements of tower defense. ![]()
